Go Green Power Energy Management

Green Power Dealers are specifically trained to provide you with strategies on how to conserve energy and reduce utility costs.

At Green Power, our mission is to provide our customers with a strategy to conserve energy and reduce utility costs. This important service is called “Energy Management”. Energy Management usually requires a combination of strategies to be most effective, as no singular approach accomplishes everything for everyone. That is why your Green Power Dealer is much more than just a solar installer. This is the unique benefit that makes Green Power such an important resource for you.

At Green Power, our primary income comes from the sales of solar systems. However, unlike most solar companies who benefit from installing the biggest solar system possible, Green Power Dealers are trained to provide energy management solutions. This is why we call our platform “Reduction / Production”. “Reduction” of your energy needs and “Production” of the remainder is the correct approach to energy efficient living.

Did you know:

  1. 60% of the electricity used in the United States is from running heating and air conditioning systems, most of which are very inefficient
  2. On average, 30% of the conditioned air you use to cool or heat your home is leaked into the attic or other unoccupied places. 30% wasted energy.
  3. Most homes have inadequate insulation, which means that heating and air conditioning systems are running for much longer times to achieve comfortable living conditions. Insulation can be a cost effective way to reduce energy consumption. Longer run times mean wasted electricity.
  4. Traditional water heaters use electricity or fossil fuel to continuously maintain a tank of water hot at all times. Many tanks have a standing pilot light burning every second of the year. This old technology is still widely prevalent, although it is highly wasteful.
  5. Replacing incandescent light bulbs with more efficient compact fluorescents can significantly reduce energy usage.

There are many ways to reduce energy consumption in your home, which ultimately reduces the size and cost of your new Green Power solar system. So while large solar systems have their place, Green Power Dealers will not over-size your system. Many times, a 50% or 75% production system is all your home ultimately needs. Remember that ALL the excess energy your solar system produces ends up going to the utility company for FREE. That is why your Green Power Dealer provides energy management, using reduction / production strategies to correctly design a customized solution for you.
